Upcoming retreats and events

We typically hold two one-day retreats per year in the fall and spring and occasional weekend retreats, as well as talks and other events. If you have a suggestion for an event, please email us.

TBD: Fall 2022 one-day retreat

The retreat will include periods of zazen, kinhin (walking meditation), and a brief service. A retreat is an excellent opportunity to intensify practice and concentration for a short time.

Please try to attend the full day if possible. You can also attend a half-day in the morning or afternoon. Tea will be available during breaks. Please bring your own lunch or plan to eat in Takoma Park. Requested donation is $20, which can be paid in cash or check at the event or via Venmo or Zelle.

All participants are required to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19. Unless guidance from Montgomery County changes in the interim, masks are not required, although participants are welcome to wear masks at their discretion. To maintain sufficient spacing, there will be a maximum of 14 participants, with preference given to those who pre-register.
