Upcoming retreats and events
We typically hold two one-day and two weekend retreats per year in the fall and spring, as well as occasional talks and other events. If you have a suggestion for an event or questions, please email us.
Spring 2025 weekend retreat, March 20-23
The retreat will be held at the Dayspring Silent Retreat Center in Germantown, Maryland, just north of Washington, DC, from Thursday evening, March 20 to Sunday afternoon, March 23. Retreats are silent and include many periods of seated meditation (zazen), short breaks, meals and rest periods. All meals are included in the event cost. Attendance at all zazen periods from 6:00am through 9:30pm is expected.
The facilities include a building with a large room set up as the zendo and separate buildings with living quarters. All rooms are singles with in-room sinks. There are separate wings for men and women. Vegetarian meals will be provided by Dayspring staff; retreat participants will help with dining room setup and meal cleanup.
The per-person cost is $360 for Thursday-Sunday and $260 for Friday-Sunday. Space is limited to 14 participants.
More information will be available as the retreat date approaches.
