Location
Ka Shin Zendo practices at the Takoma Park Presbyerian Church, located at the corner of Tulip and Maple Streets in Takoma Park (for GPS purposes, the street address is 310 Tulip Avenue, Takoma Park, MD 20912). This is a five-minute walk (2-3 blocks) from the TP Metro station. There is zoned, permitted on-street parking until 7 p.m on weekdays; open parking on weekends. This is lightly enforced at the end of the day, so should not pose a problem for people arriving for 6:30 p.m. zazen. There are also 1-hour daytime parking spaces on the Tulip side of the church that open up around 6 p.m. The Metro parking lot is free on weekends.

Entry
The zendo space is in the library. To get there, face the church facade on Maple Ave. and enter through the wooden double doors to your left. Go up the stairs. Pass the Church Parlor. Enter the first door on the left after that, the library.
On Saturdays, the exterior doors remain open. On Mondays, they will be opened only before zazen starts and then during 10-minute kinhin periods. If you arrive a few minutes early and no one is there, please wait outside the door. If you're late, you will have to wait until the next available window. (It's easy to leave, get coffee in Takoma Park, and return).
Times the door will be opened:
Monday before 6:30 p.m. (also before 5:45 p.m. on orientation days) and during kinhin: 7:10-7:20 and 8:00-8:10 p.m.
Thanks for your patience. If you have any questions, please email us.
